Systems
- Deionization and Recycling SystemCost-saving alternative to Service Deionization (SDI)
Available with feed-forward, feed-back, or volumetric regeneration control depending upon feed water consistency & required product water quality, the WDI produces 1-5 uS DI water as an alternative to SDI. With an operating cost less than $6/1,000-gallons compared to SDI at $50-60/1,000-gallons a typical return on investment (ROI) is less than 2-years when >1,000 gallons per day is required.
The WDI Elite includes a feed pump, bag filter, duplex cation and anion exchangers, and controls while we also offer lower-cost systems without a feed pump assuming adequate water pressure. Resin vessel size is based on flow requirements. An Inlet conductivity and flow meter control feed-forward regenerations with feed-back regenerations triggered based upon operator-adjustable outlet water quality. Deionization and Recycling System
- Reverse Osmosis System
To meet customer requirements for water purification when feed water has total dissolved solids (TDS) concentrations higher than 500-ppm at which ion exchange is not cost-effective, we also engineer & manufacture reverse osmosis (RO) systems.
Employing high-quality components such as Goulds e-SV high-efficiency multi-stage pumps, Tri-Sep membranes in Protec vessels, and Allen-Bradley controller, touch screen, & VFD’s, our RO systems meet Water Innovations commitment to “Best-in-Class” quality
With pre-treatment using Kinetico’s Commerical Plus water softeners and filters for lower flows and Hydrus valves for high-flow applications, in combination with our WDI or HFX Deionizers for higher-quality water, Water Innovations RO systems will meet your requirements while exceeding your expectations, providing excellent value. Reverse Osmosis System
- High Flow Ion Exchange System
The High Flow Ion Exchange (HFX) system is intended for either closed-loop rinsewater recycling to produce deionized water or deionization of potable feed water as an alternative to SDI vessels for single-use and discharge.
Available as standard systems utilizing multiple integrated skids configured as necessary to meet flow rates from 35- to 135-gpm or higher flows with custom engineering, the HFX utilizes Feed-forward grain counting, packed-bed resin, and counter-current regeneration for unsurpassed efficiency and water quality.
Typical recycling or deionization applications have feed water with a TDS concentration of less than 450 mg/l. Standard systems produce deionized water with less than 2 mg/l of TDS.
Each recycling HFX system includes a system feed tank, simplex or duplex feed pumps, optional minimum-duplex multimedia filters, minimum-duplex carbon filters, minimum- duplex bag filters, duplex cation and duplex anion exchangers, simplex or duplex DI water supply pump, and a DI water holding tank with UV sterilizer.
Assuming a minimum 60-psi pressurized water feed and that product water would be sent directly to use, an HFX system for potable water deionization doesn’t require a feed tank or pumps but is otherwise designed and configured the same as a recycling HFX.
Beyond providing high quality water the HFX with an operating cost of just over $4 per 1,000 gallons processed is up to 95% less costly than SDI. High Flow Ion Exchange System
- Complete Ion Exchange System
Integrated skid-mounted system for closed-loop rinses recycling
For rinses with TDS < 450 mg/l and pH between 3 & 10 to produce deionized (DI) water up to 25-gpm. At $6/1000-gal, the CIX is 75% less costly than using rinsewater once only then waste-treating & discharging and is 95% less costly than service deionization (SDI).
With more than 30-years of proven performance employing Kinetico’s patented regeneration valve, Water Innovations’ CIX provides unsurpassed efficiency & water quality by counter-current regenerating packed-resin beds using “feed-forward grain-counting with “feed-back” based on outlet water conductivity & pH. Available as a single 5- or 10-gpm skid or as dual skids for 20- or 25-gpm, installation requires minimal floor space and a couple of days only including start-up and operator training.
Control utilizes an Allen-Bradley CompactLogix controller and Panelview color touch screen for human-machine interface (HMI). Short-term data-logging is through the HMI & archived on an SD card, with electronic system alerts & alarms by email and/or smart-phones with an Ethernet connection. The system frame is constructed of stainless steel with a polyurethane coating for long-term corrosion protection. Best-in-class system components include Goulds e-HM pumps, GF valves, Signet instrumentation, Purolite Resin, & SMC pneumatics.
There is quite simply not a better ion exchange waste recycling system built anywhere in the world. CIX-Complete Ion Exchange System
- Softening and Filtration Systems
As a commercial dealer since 2005 for Kinetico, the world-leader in water softening & filtration systems, Water Innovations employ Kinetico’s Commercial Plus (CP) and Hydrus softener regeneration & media backwash valves for pre-treatment in every deionization, water recycling & reverse osmosis (RO) system we build.
With a combined operating range from 1 to 100’s of gallons per minute (gpm), the Hydrus and CP valves automatically regulate service and backwash/regeneration cycles to remove by softening resin or various medias countless contaminants from calcium to iron, producing the lowest waste volume and highest quality water.
Beyond industrial applications, Water Innovations is experienced and expert in applying Kinetico’s CP and Hydrus softening and filtration systems for various uses from commerical to community water systems.
- Waste Water Treatment System
Whether integrated with our water recycling systems or for pre-treatment of wastewater from metal finishing & plating operations to comply with discharge limits, our systems are scalable from hundreds to several-thousand gallons per day.
With designs benefiting from our decades of hands-on experience & expertise with chemical precipitation of regulated metals, CN oxidation, & Cr6+ reduction across various industries and utilizing the highest-quality components for years of reliable operation, our Batch Treatment & Continuous Flow systems ensure consistent compliance with regulatory discharge limits while reducing operating labor & chemicals consumption for operating costs savings.
Both Batch wastewater treatment and Continuous waste water treatment systems are customizable depending upon the target contaminants and applicable discharge limits, employ programmable automation control (PAC) with Human Machine Interface (HMI) by color touch screen for operator-adjustable treatment parameters, data-logging, system warnings & alarms, and electronic communication by Ethernet or wireless.
- Metal ScavengingFor selective metals removal from rinses for compliance with discharge limits or contaminant removal from plating & anodizing baths, Water Innovations-built scavenging ion exchange (IX) systems are custom-engineered for targeted removal of precious or contaminant metals depending upon the application.
The Complete Ion Exchange – Metal Scavenger (CIX-MS) utilizing Kinetico’s regeneration control valve is designed for rinsewater flows <10-gpm. For rinsewater flows from 10-gpm to 100’s of gallons per minute, our Scavenging Ion Exchange (SIX) system employs a series of actuated flow control valves to regulate service & regeneration cycles of simplex, duplex or triplex IX vessels.
