Steven Ward, VP of Water Innovations, will be presenting at the SUR/FIN Conference in Cleveland, OH on Wednesday, June 6, 2018. This presentation will focus on how finishing facilities are faced with increasing water scarcity & cost and stringent quality requirements. Water recycling to produce deionized (DI) water is a means to ensure a reliable supply of high-quality water that lowers operating costs & improves product quality. Established technologies include ion exchange (IX) & reverse osmosis (RO) to closed-loop recycle process rinses and RO & multimedia filtration for end-of-pipe. Proper technology selection and successful implementation require an understanding of which rinsewaters are suitable to recycle, evaluation of relative costs & advantages/disadvantages, and knowledge of associated operational & regulatory requirements, which will be addressed to provide the audience a basic understanding to make an informed decision.
